How To Volunteer with We Got Your Back: NYC for NOLA
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Art for Music's “We Got Your Back” musician support alliance. Generous people, like you, are vital to the success of our efforts as we launch into ACTION to support members of the independent music community!
We Got Your Back is currently focused on NYC for NOLA, a project started to harness our (and your) resources to replace instruments so musicians who lost theirs in Hurricane Katrina can get back to work. In addition, we are assisting musicians who are relocating to the New York area with housing, paying gigs and other day-to-day needs.
Volunteer opportunities include (but are not limited to):
- Web developer for database driven website (we need this ASAP!)
- Case workers (to find one-on-one solutions for individual musicians whose needs haven't been met within our forum community)
- Selling t-shirts and handing out flyers at events in the tri-state area
- Fundraising and marketing
- Providing transportation (Got a car? We could use it.)
- Internet research (so we can ensure the resource links and information on our site remains useful, legitimate and constantly up to date)
- Other….got a skill or asset you think we could use that isn't on this list? Tell us!
